About Darcy Evans

Darcy Evans likes to use her art as a visual journal entry: "Most of my art is just a way for me to communicate and process my own perception of myself at the time". Her goal is for her art to feel familiar and that the nature of its emotion can be understood. This way people can recognise those same feelings, and have a sense of being understood. Especially for other women, a lot of her work comes from a place of exploring and questioning femininity, and what it means to be a woman.

Darcy takes heavy inspiration from Van Gogh, Dahlia Raz, Claude Cahun, and uses a lot of music to inspire herself, specifically Radiohead's "In Rainbows" album.
