About Gillian Linden
Gillian Linden was born in London. She attended the Arts Educational School in London and studied fine art at the Paris American Academy, Paris.
Her art explores the journey of 3 dimensional proportions, opening up many different vistas, by representing the balance between the figurative, surreal abstract worlds of life. Each artwork Gillian creates, offers the audience a 3D sensorial experience that continues to challenge the viewer in seeking out the many complexed layers forming each piece of artwork.
The majority of her art to date explores her fascination with the rabbit form and revolves around the symbolic meanings for abundance, comfort, fertility, sentiment, desire and vulnerability. Each artwork centralises a fusion between a human/rabbit character, morphing itself into many different forms within a surrealistic world.
To date Gillian Linden uses a variety of mediums to recreate her 3D compositions. Each piece of artwork is created by assembling a complex system of digital layers, using her own geometric, abstract, or figurative drawn forms in recreating a world of either reality or abstract surrealism.
Gillian's work is mostly sold to private collectors. Recently she exhibited at the “Urban Interventions” exhibition, alongside Banksy, Keith Haring, Harland Miller, Mr Brainwash, Eelus, James Jessop, The Connor Brothers, and Shepard Fairey.
