About Stephanie Rondel
Since graduating from Kent University in 2014 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art, Stephanie Rondel has developed her art practice alongside working as an Art and Design Teacher, these two strands came together in the completion of her MA in Artist Teacher and Contemporary Practices at Goldsmiths in 2019. Stephanie has since returned to the Island of Jersey where she now continues to enjoy balancing her creative practice alongside teaching at a local secondary school.
Jersey has been a continual influence on Stephanie's practice as a landscape artist. Stephanie will often visit her favourite spots on the Island to gain inspiration and then uses her art practice to encapsulate these brief moments in time through the intricate details in her work. She is inspired by the ever-changing nature of Jersey's coastline observing it's intricate details - from observing the colours and reflections cast by the sea at low tide to studying the Island's iconic sites. Stephanie's relationship with the Island is at the heart of her creative practice.
